OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2ND EDITION OF MASTER IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT

The opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Master in Public Procurement Management was held on November 2, 2018 at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law.

After opening remarks delivered by Director of this program Prof. Dr. Dobrosav Milovanović, audience was addressed by: Ambassador of Italy in Serbia Mr. Carlo Lo Cascio, Dean of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Zoran Mirković, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Ms. Jelena Tanasković, Vice-Rector for Finance of the University of Belgrade Prof. Dr. Gordana Ilić Popov and Director of Public Procurement Office of Republic of Serbia Ms. Sandra Damčević.

Prof. Dr. Sima Avramović, who highly contributed last year to establishment of this joint study program of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and University of Rome „Tor Vergata“, Department of Economics and Finance, strongly emphasized the importance of this master program for the field of public procurement management in the whole Western Balkans region.

On behalf of the University of Rome „Tor Vergata“ and International Master in Public Procurement Management program that will enroll 7th generation in Rome in this academic year, Mr. Veljko Sikirica spoke.

As MPPM is realized with the strong financial support of the the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, its representative Mr. Peter Tabak explained why well trained public procurement professionals are needed for Western Balkan countries.

Keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Dragoljub Kavran, renowned expert of the United Nation in public administration, while Mr. Branimir Blagojević, students’ representative and president of the IMPPM Alumni association pointed out all advantages that students will acquire by successful completion of these studies.

Second edition of the MPPM consists of 28 students from Western Balkans region, with 27 of them who received EBRD scholarship.
