8th Global Procurement Conference was held in Rome (Frascati) on July 6-7, 2023. Organized by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” with support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Conference gathered leading experts from international financial institutions and regulatory bodies, policy-makers, economists, engineers, lawyers, procurers, students of the 6th Belgrade MPPM edition and 11th Rome IMPPM edition, as well as IMPPM Alumni members. The Conference included three sessions: What to buy Session, How to buy Session and Who to buy from Session, which resulted in much-needed debate concerning issues related to innovation, competitiveness, sustainability and regulation in public procurement worldwide.
At the end of the conference closing ceremony for the 6th MPPM edition and 11th IMPPM students was held. Students were greeted by Prof. Gustavo Piga (University of Rome Tor Vergata), Prof. Dobrosav Milovanović (University of Belgrade Faculty of Law) and Jan Jackholt (EBRD). Institutional addresses to the students were made by Simona Mameli (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), Frank Mvula (online, African Development Bank), Douglas Fraser (online, Caribbean Development Bank), Valentina Dell’Aira (Fondazione Expo Roma 2030). Special farewell address of the teachers was delivered by Dr. Slađana Sredojević (European Banking & Financial Services Training Association), while Hanadi Al-Nabulsi, President of the Alumni Association addressed the future Alumni members online.
Đorđe Višić delivered the farewell speech on behalf of the students of the MPPM 6th edition while Maureen Baynath spoke on behalf of students of the 11th IMPPM edition.
MPPM students received certificates and plaques on successful attendance of the Master’s program by Dr. Slađana Sredojević and Evgeny Smirnov (EBRD).
